Sunday I started my business trip to Copenhagen and booked a room at the Axel Guldsmeden Hotel.I have the habit to cut out newspaper articles, so I remembered that I once kept one from the Couch Magazine not long ago about a hotel in Copenhagen.
I wanted to visit the ACE HOTEL forever and was so exited to take the 2 hours drive to Palm Springs and to finally check it out. And what can I say...I loooved it! The interior, the atmosphere, really nice staff and the good weather did´t hurt either. It was pure joy!
Today i spoiled myself with some french toast at the beautiful Commissary greenhouse of TheLINE HOTEL. located in Los Angeles Koreatown. After breakfast i strolled around a little. The building was originally designed in 1964. Sean Knippdesigned all the new hotel rooms and public spaces. I like how you get a mix of old and new.
The Dii:ke restaurant is basicly in the Beach Motel and the interior is similar to the Motel but it is self-contained, so doesn´t belong to the Motel. It´s great for coffee and cake. I loved the waffles! But the also serve great Pizza, Pasta, Salads etc. Just like the Hotel it is based right at the dike with the most popular path to the beach.
The weekend after new years we decided to do a little girls trip to the beach with some wellness to relax before going back to work. So we booked ourselves into the Beach Motel in St. Peter Ording. The Motel is basically located right at the beach. It just opened about a year ago and it is light, fresh, young and fun. You feel like in a surf shed in California or South Africa, with surfboards, surf pictures and in my imagination i could see people running around in summertime in Flip Flops and boardshorts. They serve nice breakfast and have a clean and great spa area we spend a looot of time at. We also checked out the restaurant called dii:ke we will show you in the next post.
On a business trip to Istanbul i stayed at the Golden Horn Hotelin Sultan Ahmet, which is located in the historical part on the European Side. The view from my room was already spectacular, but than i took the lift up to the terrace from where you have the Blue Mosqueand the Hagia Sophia right in front of you. Also you have a breathtaking view over the Bosphorus. Breakfast is also served up there, but in summer it´s almost too hot to sit outside. The rooms are pompous, which is usually not really my cup of tea, but i had a real royal moment there. The phone was exceptionally impressive i thought :)
A while ago we decided to make a little weekend island trip to Mallorca.. So Sina found this amazing finca in the country side called Monnáber Velle.. Rooms were beautiful (unfortunately we forgot o take a picture). Every room is unique. The food is fresh and made with love. The price was very decent. The whole atmosphere was quite an relaxing. We hardly saw anyone and even at the breathtaking infinity pool with his excellent view we were usually by ourself´s. By now there is a spa area, it was till in planing when we were there unfortunately. If you are planing a relaxing trip with your BBF or a romantic trip with your hubby this is where you want to go!
